The Advanced Placement Government Class members at Tippecanoe High School are required to obtain some practical experience in political campaigning. Alison McQuarry received Dick Adams name from a friend. Three of the students made an appointment and decided to help him get elected to the Ohio House of Representatives. Alison McQuarry, Mallory Miller and Ruth Anne Monnier planned, organized and recruited more volunteer students to conduct a door to door campaign in Tipp City. The students did an outstanding job and received excellent experience in campaigning plus course credit for Advanced Placement Government.

Dick Adams held his first of ten fund raising open houses at the home of Steve and Julie Bruns. It was a unique event which featured trap shooting. Steve and Dick are shown in the picture to the right practicing before the other shooters arrive. As a gun owner, Dick supports the Second Amendment and has received an "A" rating and been endorsed by the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Doug Foxx of the Ohio Farm Bureau presents the 2008 Farm Bureau framed certificate designating Richard Adams, Republican candidate for the Ohio House of Representatives, a 2008 Friend of Agriculture. This endorsement of by the Ohio Farm Bureau indicates confidence in Dick to represent agriculture well in the Ohio House of Representatives. Adams said "I appreciate this endorsement and will work hard on behalf of agriculture in the Ohio House of Representatives."
